Introduction to Drum Mixing Plant
The drum mixing station is a concrete production equipment with a drum mixer as the core. It is mainly used to mix cement, sand, gravel, water and other raw materials in proportion into uniform concrete. Its working principle is based on **self-falling mixing** and **gravity diffusion**. The rotation of the drum causes the material to be repeatedly lifted, dropped and axially stirred to achieve efficient mixing.
It can be used alone or as a supporting host for concrete mixing stations
Core structure and function**
1. **Mixing system**
- **Drum main machine**: The core component is a double-conical or cylindrical drum with high and low blades welded inside (at a certain angle with the mixing axis). When the drum rotates, the blades lift the material to a high place and then let it fall freely, while pushing the material to move axially, achieving a composite mixing effect of "lifting-dropping-shearing".
- **Blade design**: Adjust the blade angle and spacing according to the material characteristics to ensure that aggregates of different particle sizes (such as sand and gravel) are fully in contact with cement and water.
2. **Batching and feeding system**
- **Aggregate silo**: Multi-compartment silo design, used to store aggregates such as sand and gravel, equipped with electronic weighing device to achieve precise batching.
- **Feeding device**: Aggregates, cement, etc. are transported to the drum entrance through belt conveyor, hopper or screw conveyor. Some models support automatic feeding.
3. **Water supply and additive system**
- **Water pump and pipeline**: According to the concrete mix ratio, the water volume is accurately measured through the control system and injected into the drum.
- **Additive tank** (optional): used to store admixtures such as water reducer and early strength agent, and quantitatively added as needed.
4. **Transmission and control system**
- **Transmission device**: The motor drives the drum to rotate through the reducer. Some models use gear meshing or friction wheel transmission, and the speed is adjustable (usually 5-20 rpm).
- **Intelligent control cabinet**: Integrated PLC control system, which can set parameters such as mixing time, speed, batching ratio, etc., supports manual/automatic mode switching, and real-time monitoring of production data.
5. **Finished product storage and unloading**
- **Unloading port**: Located at the end of the drum, unloading is achieved by tipping the drum or reversing the drum, and the unloading speed is controllable.
- **Storage hopper** (optional): Temporary storage of mixed concrete to facilitate transportation vehicles to receive materials.
