Product Description

Cement screw conveyor is a **special type** of screw conveyor, mainly used for **quantitative conveying and metering of powdery materials such as **cement, fly ash, mineral powder, etc.**, and is widely used in concrete mixing plants, cement product factories, warehousing and logistics and other scenarios. Its design is optimized for the **good fluidity, easy dusting, strong abrasiveness and other characteristics of cement, ensuring efficient, stable and low-loss conveying.

### **1. Structural characteristics and working principle**
#### **1. Core structure optimization**
- **Spiral shaft and blades**:
- Use **solid shaft** (high strength to avoid blockage of hollow shaft due to powder entering), the blades are mostly **solid spiral surfaces** (uniform pitch, high driving efficiency), the blade edge can be welded with **wear-resistant alloy layer** (such as tungsten carbide) to extend the service life (cement particles cause greater wear on the blades).
- Blade spacing: usually 0.8-1 times the diameter of the spiral to avoid material accumulation or backflow (such as a spiral shaft with a diameter of 219mm, with a pitch of about 200mm).
- **Material trough and seal**:
- The material trough adopts a **U-shaped or tubular structure**, made of Q235 steel plate (thickness 5-10mm), and the inner wall is smooth to reduce material adhesion;
- **Seal design**:
- The feed end (cement silo outlet) adopts a **packing seal** (such as rubber ring + graphite packing) to prevent dust leakage caused by the air pressure in the silo;
- The discharge end (connected to the metering scale or mixer) adopts a **mechanical seal** (such as labyrinth seal + sealing ring) to ensure metering accuracy.
- **Drive and control**:
- The motor is equipped with a **cycloid pinwheel reducer** (large transmission ratio, stable torque), or a **variable frequency motor**, and quantitative feeding is achieved by adjusting the speed (such as with a weighing sensor, the accuracy can reach ±1%).

#### **2. Working Principle**
- Cement falls from the bottom of the silo through the feed port into the trough of the screw conveyor. When the screw shaft rotates, the blades push the cement to move axially, and finally it is transported from the discharge port to the metering equipment (such as electronic scales) or the mixing host.
- **Key Points**: The cement delivery volume is directly related to the screw shaft speed, blade pitch, and trough filling rate (usually controlled at 30%-60% to avoid excessive resistance caused by full material).

#### **1. Anti-blocking and wear-resistant design**
- **Blade angle optimization**: The blades at the feed end can be designed as **variable pitch** (pitch from large to small) to gradually compact the material and reduce the "air arch" phenomenon caused by air entrainment;
- **Trunk lining**: Install **wear-resistant lining** (such as stainless steel or ceramic lining) in the feed section with severe wear, which has low replacement cost and convenient maintenance;
- **Anti-blocking device**: Some models are equipped with **arch breaking device** (such as pneumatic hammer) at the top of the trough to prevent cement from clogging due to moisture absorption.

#### **2. Sealing and dustproof design**
- **Fully enclosed structure**: The top cover of the trough is fastened with **bolts + rubber sealing strips** to prevent cement dust;
- **Air pressure balance**: A **breathing hole** is set at the end of the trough or the top of the silo to connect dust removal equipment (such as pulse bag dust collector) to prevent positive pressure in the silo during transportation and cause dust to overflow.

- **Constant speed control**: Use **frequency conversion speed regulation** or **servo motor** to ensure the stability of the screw shaft speed and avoid conveying errors caused by speed fluctuations;
- **Weightlessness metering**: With the silo weighing system, the screw shaft speed is dynamically adjusted by real-time monitoring of silo weight changes to achieve continuous and accurate feeding (suitable for cement metering in concrete mixing plants).
